James & Emma’s wedding held at Inglewood Estate in Kangaroo Ground in December 2014 was a such a beautiful wedding to work on, as I was not only as just their florist, but I was also Emma’s Maid of Honour.

Emma had a beautiful vision for her wedding from the start, simple, relaxed & rustic. Inglewood estate was the perfect venue to hold the wedding, with its stunning little chapel & beautiful surroundings, it really was the perfect venue for them!

Emma wanted to incorporate bright colours into their special day & decided on coral, white & green. Being a little indecisive, Emma gave me a lot of free reign on the flower choice in the bouquets, just a guide on the colours. White & green for her bouquet & the reception flowers, the same for the bridesmaid’s with some pops of coral.

Emma’s heavily beaded gown was a stunning light gold colour, with us maids in a bold coral tone. Mia, her darling step-daughter wore a pretty little lace gown, with a coral headband to match the bridesmaids. This gave us a really great base for colours. We put together a selection of blooms including Dahlias, Queen Anne’s lace, Veronica, Hypericum Berries, Babies breath, Roses & Lisianthus. We opted for deconstructed style bouquets to suit the wedding theme with a simple Babies Breath posy for Mia.

For her reception flowers, we kept to a simple & rustic theme & toned back the colours to all white & green. Using a selection of recycled jars that Emma had collected, we kept the flowers simple on the tables. Option for 2 -3 jars per table, it was just enough to soften the room & finish off Inglewood’s very ornate reception room.
